SOFTWARE FOR EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS
Documenting the Software in      Practice
            This activity aims to determine the various software available in school and software that teachers use in the instruction and in school as a whole.
            This activity will be accomplished by pair. Interview the school’s laboratory technician and find out the various software acquired by school, then determine its purpose. Also interview at least four (4) teachers of different discipline to find out the software or program they use in instruction and other school related activities.

·         Photo Gallery and Cyber Movie Maker are examples of multimedia software that could enhance their presentation well. Auto Cad is also present, which is good for the engineers.

My Kiosk Presentation that Holds Attention
           



This activity aims to bring out the creativity among the students in making his/her hand-outs using MS Word and designing a kiosk using MS PowerPoint following the given specifications. His/her work will be presented through a short demonstration.
            Think of any topic of your field of specialization. Create a 3-page hand-out that will be distributed to your teacher and classmates. Also, create 10-slide kiosk which shows the logical units of the lesson. The kiosk must consist of text, graphics, animations, video, music, and button links. Place the title slide of your presentation below. You may review the guidelines and principles in creating hand-outs and presentations learned in Educational Technology 1 or Basic Computer course.

OBJECTIVES IN TEACHING ESSAY
The following are the general objectives that should be known by the teacher in teaching the genre of essay:
Teacher should:
1.      Clearly define what essay is.
-          Before anything else, make sure that your students have no confusion about this genre. Explain them its differences in terms of its features among other genre of literature so that, your students will know what they studying for.
2.      Identify different essay formats:
-          Since, the very basic in teaching essay is to teach students how essay could be written therefore, by identifying different essay formats they will be able to make one easily.
3.      Explain the basic structure of a five-paragraph-essay:
-          Teaching essay especially in the beginners, they should know the basic structure in making an essay and this five – paragraph essay format is the commonly known among all.
4.      How to write an essay:
-          Together with the explanations above, we teach essay basically because they need to know how to write one and since learning it could be a very big help that they could use in different aspect.
5.      To differentiate the different types of essay:
-          Learning the types of essay could be a very big help in determining the styles and techniques to use in writing essay, it will serve as their guide in creating a good and creative output. Therefore, it is a must to teach the different types of essay for it will determine the features to follow that one type should be.
6.      Drafting and Outlining Essay: Essay Structure:
-          One basic move in making an essay is by creating an outline to determine the positions of ideas to be presented in the essay itself. Through the help of drafting students will be able to build ideas comprehensively. They should also remember that essay comes with the title, introduction, body and conclusion.
7.      To understand various styles and approaches in writing essay:
-          With regards to the explanation in number 5, it is also a must to learn the different styles in writing an essay though sometimes we have our own style of making one.
8.      Citing References in the text:
-          Most important is we should teach them the importance of referencing to avoid plagiarism.

Use a colour that is easily to read and use a combination that is pleasing to the eye to catch the students interest to listen but do not over use a design because it tend to distract students attention and gives more focus on the design and not on the content.
