Roles of the Internet and the World Wide Web in Education

This activity will allow the students to experience some communication tools that are useful for sharing and getting information.

1.      Join a forum. Look for a forum which discusses a topic of your interest. Join the forum and answer the following questions.
a.       Discussion topic of the forum:
                        *Does Religion affect the unity of the people in the community
b.      Who are the people in the forum?
                        *The people in the forum are the admin, staffs and the members.
c.       What insights did you share?
                        *Religion refers to organized systems of beliefs, ceremonies and rules but regarding on the topic it affects the unity of the people because we all know that church is also includes in the fundamental institution in the community who builds the spiritual needs of the people .
d.      How did the people respond to your insights?
                        *One member agreed on my statement, that knowing your religions makes you smart enough and understanding their own perspective is a must.
e.       What new learning did you get?
                        *No matter what your religion is, even if all of us differ in one other. We still need to respect the opinion of everyone since each of us has its own understanding and interpretation on the topic presented.
f.       How do you find joining a forum?
                        *Joining this kind of forum is not that easy for me, it needs to a lot your time, effort and patience since there are various questions that need to be answer before you finally



2.      Join a webinar. Look for a webinar that interest you that you can register for free.

2.      Register for free.
3.      Using your chosen topic, follow the 6 steps in creating a webquest.
4.      Publish your webquest.

B.     The Activity is Online
In this activity, the students will be able to create an online activity.
Guidelines in Creating an Online Activity:
1.      Find a website to create an online activity. (www.quia.com)
2.      Register for free.
3.      Using your chosen topic, create an online activity.
4.      Publish it.
5.      Give the URL to your facilitator for checking.
