Chapter 10:
Components of the Internet and the World Wide Web
The Change has come!
1.      Interview two of your teachers who were born before the Internet and the WWW are used. Ask them the transition or changes that happened to as a teacher before and now that they are using the internet and the WWW.
Guide Questions:
a.       How do you prepare your lessons?
b.      How do you present your lessons?
c.       Where do you get your audio clips and videos to be used in the delivery of your lessons?
d.      Where do you get your educational materials?

2.      Write the output of your interview on the table below and get ready to share it to the class.

Preparing a lesson during that time is a real challenge especially when there’s no such fast internet service to get additional details. It is one of the reasons why traditional teachers are different from today’s teachers. Moreover, with regards on how we prepared our lessons back then, we focused mainly on traditional materials and not more on technological aids thus, having less time to visit even the WWW.

It is much easier. Technological aids are already published in the world wide web together with the additional information to sustain more effective teaching and learning process.

Without the internet, my teaching approach could be only varied on traditional used of aids and presenting a lesser information to effectively disseminate them among my classes. For instance, I used cassettes as a channel for information when there is an audio to be listened. Furthermore, using the limited books as my resources I present my lesson in a traditional way.
But today’s world of internet, I can easily manage teaching. Even. Objectives and lessons are being published hence, the easier the teaching and learning process. Videos and any other teaching aids are already on the internet and ready to use. Everything is at hand.
